The Georgia Water Polo League
Our mission is to offer youth athletes an elite and safe league to practice and compete, emphasizing the importance of skill development and camaraderie. We serve athletes in all counties of Metro-Atlanta.
With a long-term goal of sanctioning water polo as a Varsity sport in the state of Georgia, GWPL is partnering with USA Water Polo to grow and advance the sport of water polo in Atlanta and beyond.
On April 19, the Georgia Water Polo League hosted a skills clinic for water polo players of all experience levels, ages 6-18. The four-hour session included drills, scrimmages and chalk talk sessions with experienced USAWP coaches in Georgia.This skills clinic served all athletes, from beginner to elite. Splashball is an introduction to the sport of water polo for kids ages 5-11. It is a great opportunity to expose kids to the sport in a safe and exciting way! According to USA Water Polo: The intent is to provide basic skills and understanding of the sport in a recreational format. Although water polo is known for its toughness and endurance, Splashball harnesses all the fun, dynamic aspects of the game in a safe, easy-to-learn aquatic experience that will motivate kids to swim and stay fit.
