What is Splashball?
Splashball is an introduction to the sport of water polo for kids ages 5-11. It is a great, non-contact opportunity to expose kids to the sport in a safe and exciting way! According to USA Water Polo: The intent is to provide basic skills and understanding of the sport in a recreational format. Although water polo is known for its toughness and endurance, Splashball harnesses all the fun, dynamic aspects of the game in a safe, easy-to-learn aquatic experience that will motivate kids to swim and stay fit.

An Introduction to Splashball by USA Water Polo:
Program Overview:
The GWPL will operate three Splashball clinic and scrimmage opportunities throughout the regular season for kids ages 6-11. Any are welcome to participate with a valid USA Water Polo Membership (Bronze level minimum)! A free 14 day trial is offered to new members.
We will have regulation sized goals and caps for the athletes to wear. We will offer fundamentals, like learning to egg beat and pass and dribble a ball. We will even practice shooting and similar skills.
This is a low-commitment opportunity to expose your young child to water polo without having them play with a team unsuitable for their skillset.
